i'm not a witness myself, i'm not even religious, but i know this younger woman who is.
i thought we hit it off pretty well.
i became attracted to her by her beauty, then infatuated by her kindness, and sweet personality...then i found out she was a jw.. i was told by another witness (a newbe witness) that jw's stick to their own kind, and do not stray outside as far as romance go's and i would have no chance at all with her...is this true???.

"if you(the watchtower) say something, surely, it would be very well researched, prayed upon endlessly, discussed openly with the leaders, surely it would be spiritual food at the proper time, surely it would be new light, surely it would be meat in due season, surely all would meditate on this and pray even more, that the comments are correct and leave no room for error, so my question to you is ...
From 1988 - 1995 The Awake said that the Creator's promise of a new earth would come before the 1914 generation passes away.
So this statement was printed in EVERY AWAKE MAGAZINE from 1988-1995, so for 7 years, at 22 million copies per issue, 44 million a month, 500 million copies a year, over 4 BILLION copies in 7 years, how can you now say that this was misunderstood. If someone tells me something 4 BILLION times, chances are they know what they are talking about. And all those copies are still circulating out there somewhere, maybe someone is reading it right now as we speak, but if it is not true, maybe you should RECALL all the magazines, and provide a refund."

the society has many doctrines and practices which are plainly wrong.
nonetheless, little dogma is, from an organizational standpoint, in serious need of change -- except one.
for the society to continue any form of credibility with it's followers it will have to change it's understanding of who can lead the organization, in other words, who can become members of the governing body.
They have already shown pics in the Watchtower with Russell, Rutherford, Knorr, and Franz in heaven watching over the kings intrest on earth.

i had a disagreement with xq in chat today, because he was trying to say that jws for the most part disobey the wts and still treat family like family even if they are dfd or quit being witnesses.. i don't feel that is true.
i think that the majority of us on here who no longer are jws have family members who no longer have anything to do with us and shun us.... so i said it would be interesting to take a poll and see how many here are treated just like all the rest of your 'loving family' who is a jw still.......are you treated the same?.
does family shun you for being df'd, da'd or no longer participating?or do they hide and talk to you but only when other active jws can't see?

rutherford ruled the watchtower organization from 1916 to 1942, traveled extensively, had several residences, most notably, beth sarim.
but absent always was his wife, mary, not to mention his son, malcolm as well.. ok, rutherford was so well known, why did no one inquire about his son and wife?.
when rutherford resided at beth sarim in san diego, why was his wife not there with him?
there is very little info, mostly hearsay
I too had heard that his son wanted nothing to do with the jw crap, and lived with his mom for a while,
I have also heard that they (the Watchtower), don't even know where Rutherford is buried, I have heard somewhere in New York State, I have heard at Beth Sarim, and i also heard he was cremated and ashes dumped on Beth Sarim, ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE ????

it has been brought to our attention that certain brothers have had questions regarding the societies' membership as a non governmental organization with the united nations from 1991-2001. rest assured that we are no longer members, having removed ourselves from this organization over 3 years ago.
it was only in our undaunted zeal to proclaim the good news to "all nations" (as was jesus' admonition), in these critical last days, that the faithful slave class approved membership as an ngo.
when was this done, was it read to the congregations ????
